About the Midwife
Martha Boudakian
Certified Nurse Midwife
I have been a midwife since 1998. I received my midwifery education at the University of Pennsylvania and I am certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. I maintain my certification through continuing education.
I started my career in hospital-based practice, and I have joyfully served women and families as an independent midwife since 2012. I believe that midwifery is a dynamic partnership that requires mutual trust and respect for safe and sustainable practice.

For several years, I lived in Armenia with my family, where I worked as a women’s health educator and clinical midwife. I have since returned to Armenia several times in that capacity and actively work with organizations dedicated to promoting safe and respectful reproductive health care.

My partner Vincent and I live near Rochester. We are the proud parents of two daughters, now lively and insightful young women; they were both born into the gentle hands of midwives. I enjoy yoga, weaving, cooking, international travel, and time in the natural world.
